Something more....

An usual day,
same old routine,
living with a dull life,
nor much joy inside.
And I hoped for better,
waiting for a change......
until...I saw you!

As a morning breeze...you came,
being so charming ,
with some magic in it,
as I kept looking at you.
Was it just for a moment,
or for days, I wasn't sure,
but a new change....that I wished for.

meeting of eyes,
or mere infatuation,
a little smile,
and some mischievous  looks.
You being so sweet,
making flutters in my heart,
just to realize...I like you!!

Making my first move,
just to say hi,
but seated at the seat,
I was so shy.
Talking to your friend,
exchanging some quick glance,
but I hesitated to return the same.....

So, it was usual,
I was so naive,
but with some courage,
tried my chance.
Just a friend, it may work,
still I could have my luck,
just to realize.....we were something more!!

The Unsaid Words of Rain

             THE UNSAID WORDS OF RAIN

It’s Sunday you know what that means! I basically have both mental & physical shutdown this weekend. But today no chance................ because It has been a rainy day!!!!....... And you know how much it affects me. Right now with doing a lot of writing, rain & romance are high on my list.............. But just 4 yrs. ago there was different thing when I was much addicted to detective stories, crime stories. Through this 4 yrs. I have been changed a lot. My thinking, my writing everything has changed...... I have been changed from that day ‘The Day I Noticed’. I just got a new spirit, new enthusiasm, new way to think about someones’ life.

Once you asked “why do you like rain so much?”..........and I laughed & I went off to play with drops, You said “you are still a kid”. All I know was to face the sky & greet those drops touching my cheeks, going down through my hairs, all I know is feeling wonderful.

Rain, according to me, is one of the most beautiful elements of nature. I see rain to be so amazing that I believe everyone has some memorable story connected to it. I love rain so much that I can see it as a melody, music, a composition of GOD’s own words. I remember one of my poems that I composed back in January this year inspired by the beauty of rain and influenced by the melodious rhythm of its chatter which I would like to share with you:

THE MELODIOUS RAIN

Everytime I gaze upon this endless sphere,
I see this white dust floating in the air,
Innocent at face they smile in sunlight,
But when the brothers meet, they make the day night,
A black sea over my head floating up high,
Then dropping the watery moments of joy,
                                              Chitter chatter splitter splatter,
Every tiny sound opens a fresh chapter,
Cold breeze buzzing in my ear,
With streamline songs so melodious to hear,
Nourishing the green with vanishing pain,
Growing the weed into an edible grain,

Fooled by glass in the window pane,
Making me sigh, the melodious rain.
The waves of words coming time to time,
Writing a poem with beautiful rhyme,
Singing a chorus of GOD’s own voice,
Sweeping the dust with elemental rejoice,
Filling the drains that are already full,
Draining the minds against the pull,
Little angels from sky to tell a tale,
With voice even sweeter than a nightingale,
Same but different, different but same,
Each splatter yells out a different name,
One yet many, many yet one,
They never fear even the Sun,
Fall and inspire, they rise again,
Teaches me LOVE, the melodious rain….!!!”

But let me tell you how I feel the rain. Rain, to me, is not just drops of joy, or melodious   sounds that give pleasure to my mind; but it’s more a person to me; a person, who speaks through her tears, smiles through my faces, walks through natural channels of soil, plays with me holding my hands with her watery fingers. Romance is what pours out in rain, joy is what spreads out in its fragrance, LOVE is what can be felt in its freshness and threads of strong bonds can be clearly seen between the sky and the earth.

.............Yes I want to see the rain differently, from the eyes of LOVE. And my last quote:

“It is not the freshness of rain or sounds of its chatter that inspires us much, it’s actually the ‘way it falls’ that inspires the most….! Because sometimes, beautiful things fall to break themselves and show you what they are actually made of…!!”
